The Williams After School Club, Inc. (WASC) provides an after-school program for the enrichment and enjoyment of the Auburndale and Lower Falls community. The Williams After School Club, Inc. serves children between 5 to 12 years of age who are enrolled in the Williams Elementary school or a child of a Williams Elementary School Teacher. However, the teacher must provide transportation to the program daily at full cost to them as well as the monthly tuition for their child’s schedule. Our fundamental goal is to provide a safe, high quality and affordable after school program. We recognize the need for an environment in which there are opportunities for socializing, unwinding, and releasing of energy. The Program provides structured activities from which each child may choose, including sports, arts, crafts, free play, drama, science, etc. These activities are of sufficient range to appeal to many personalities and interests, are balanced between quiet and active, and seek to extend the children’s skills and experiences. Attention is paid to contributing to each child’s emotional and social development. Self-confidence and self-respect are encouraged, as are responsibility, decision-making and respect for others, and for one’s own commitments. Each child contributes to the development of rules, which, by limiting certain kinds of behavior, create an environment in which all the children’s privacy and right to make choices are protected.
We specialize in offering a safe and secure, academically rich, afterschool recreational program that promotes academic and social development through fun, stimulating, enriching activities for the children in our care. We follow a daily planned schedule of developmentally appropriate activities.
