WASC is a first-rate afterschool program committed to the philosophies of total quality child care and respect for the individual needs of employees, children, families, specialty service providers, and surrounding professional educators. The following is a breakdown of the staff hierarchy structure and educator job descriptions.

Program Director:

The Program Director assumes all responsibilities for every aspect of the WASC program. This includes, but is not limited to, staff supervision, program scheduling, tuition billing and collection, record keeping, program development and leadership, and any other areas which impact the operations of the overall program. The Program Director must meet or exceed the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care Director I or Director II qualifications.

Program Coordinator:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum for the WASC children. This is accomplished by teaching Art, Engineering & Technology, the English Language Arts, History, Mathematics, and Science. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, social environment for the children to thrive in. In addition, the Program Coordinator also assumes responsibility for the WASC program in the absence of the WASC Program Director.

Kindergarten Coordinator:

The Kindergarten Coordinator is responsible for the successful implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum for the WASC children in our specialized Kindergarten Program on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. This is accomplished by teaching Art, Engineering & Technology, the English Language Arts, History, Mathematics, and Science. The Kindergarten Coordinator is also responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, social environment for the children to thrive in. In addition, the Kindergarten Coordinator also assumes responsibility for the WASC program in the absence of both the WASC Program Director and the Program Coordinator.

Group Leader:

All WASC Group Leaders are equally responsible for the successful implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum for the WASC children. This is accomplished by teaching Art, Engineering & Technology, the English Language Arts, History, Mathematics, and Science. The Group Leaders are also responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, social environment for the children to thrive in.

Teacher Assistant:

All WASC Teacher Assistants are equally responsible for assisting all WASC educators to successfully implement an age-appropriate curriculum for the WASC children. This is accomplished by assisting with the teaching of Art, Engineering & Technology, the English Language Arts, History, Mathematics, and Science. The Teacher Assistants are also responsible for assisting with providing a safe, nurturing, social environment for the children to thrive in.
